Questions
Why combine two symbols?
One symbol says one thing. Two joined into a single shape tell your story: a lion guarding a cross is courage drawn from faith; a phoenix turning into flame is coming back from a hard time. It also makes the design yours rather than a stock image.
Which way of joining works best?
Wrap suits anything that bends (snakes, vines, rosaries). Inside suits a strong silhouette (animals, hearts) filled with a scene. Half and half suits two things of the same size. If unsure, press Surprise me for a pairing that is known to work.
Can I use religious or cultural symbols?
Yes, and many people do. Some symbols are sacred to others or unwise to wear in some countries; the page tells you when you pick one. Please treat them with respect: see our content standards.
Are my designs public?
No. There is no public gallery. Your designs are kept in your account and in My Ink.
